Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team at St. David's South Austin Medical Center. As a member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform patient assessments, develop plans of care, and implement and evaluate care in the cardiovascular operating room.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and accurate delivery of care.
  • Assist with anesthesia induction and prepare patients for local anesthesia.
  • Accurately document and report patient care.
  • Demonstrate competency in all surgical specialties and equipment.
  • Participate in staff and self-development.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience as an Operating Room Registered Nurse in a hospital setting.
  • 1 year of experience as a Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse preferred.
  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification per SDH policy.
