About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Proposal Writer II to join our team at The GEO Group, Inc. This is a unique opportunity to work with a global leader in evidenced-based rehabilitation and contribute to the development of innovative solutions for government partners worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the entire proposal lifecycle, from design to submission, for non-standard and complex Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Invitations to Bid (ITBs), and Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Develop customized, compliant, and compelling content for proposals by conducting research and collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
  • Work with graphic designers to create informative images and translate concepts into visual representations.
  • Coordinate and submit questions to procurement officials regarding the solicitation and interact with them via phone calls during proposal development.
  • Manage timelines and communicate status to leadership and team members to ensure deliverables are provided on-time and compliant with RFP requirements.
  • Assist in the development of job descriptions, resumes, facility organization charts, and staff deployment plans with various departments.
  • Oversee the production phases of projects to maintain consistency and provide overall quality control.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Criminal Justice, Marketing, or related field.
  • Four (4) years of experience in Proposal Development, Proposal Management, or relevant field, including communication, leadership, team management, negotiation, organization, and risk management skills.
  • Strong writing and project management experience required.
  • Excellent research, editing, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze the requirements of solicitations, such as RFPs, RFQs, ITBs, RFIs, etc.
  • Business writing skills and professional writing experience required and familiarity with Chicago Manual of Style preferred.
  • Well-developed reasoning, problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with superior collaboration skills and project management techniques.
