As we continue to expand our cloud offerings, the role of the Cloud Hardware Analytics and Tools (CHAT) team becomes increasingly vital. We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Reliability Engineer to enhance our capabilities in delivering high-quality, timely, and cost-effective hardware infrastructure.
The CHAT team plays a crucial role in managing Azure Dev Ops (ADO) services, which are essential for various development teams. In this position, you will handle a significant volume of customer requests, ensuring efficient processing from initiation to resolution. Your expertise in ADO and Azure will be critical as you navigate diverse ticket scenarios.
Effective communication and organizational skills are paramount, as you will collaborate with multiple partners and team members daily. At Microsoft, we are committed to fostering a culture of inclusion, respect, and accountability, empowering every individual to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of product code, features, and operations to drive improvements in availability, reliability, and performance.
- Manage and prioritize ticket-based work requests efficiently.
- Set up and maintain ADO instances, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Provide regular updates and status reports to partners regarding ongoing projects.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration, or a Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 1+ years of relevant experience.
- 2+ years of experience in network operations.
- Hands-on experience with Azure management for at least 2 years.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of operations experience.
- Proficiency in managing Azure ADO.
- Experience with programming languages such as .Net, Java, or Python.
