Position Overview

The YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg is in search of a dedicated and approachable Children's Activity Coordinator to manage the operations of the Kids Zone. This role involves implementing established policies and procedures, as well as developing engaging programs for children. The Children's Activity Coordinator will ensure a safe and nurturing environment for preschool and elementary-aged children while their parents participate in various YMCA activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and execution of a monthly activity calendar and curriculum.
  • Oversee the scheduling to ensure adequate staffing in the Kids Zone.
  • Monitor staff ratios to optimize staffing levels based on attendance, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and recommend purchases when necessary.
  • Keep the Youth and Family Director informed about staffing issues and any concerns related to the Kids Zone.
  • Ensure that all parents complete the sign-in and sign-out process for their children.
  • Foster a professional relationship with both parents and children under YMCA care.
  • Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and age-appropriateness of all equipment and games in the Kids Zone.

Qualifications
