Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Career Navigator to join our team at Equus Workforce Solutions. As a Career Navigator, you will play a critical role in helping individuals achieve their career goals and improve their professional and personal lives.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals from diverse backgrounds and be able to form genuine relationships with participants. Key responsibilities include providing personalized career coaching and mentoring, guiding participants through career development and goal setting, and teaching networking skills and other essential career development techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one coaching to help participants identify career goals and develop action plans.
  • Assist participants in setting realistic and achievable goals and provide ongoing support to ensure they stay on track.
  • Teach participants networking skills and other essential career development techniques.
  • Offer tailored advice and support based on each participant's unique circumstances.
  • Maintain regular contact with participants to monitor progress and provide encouragement.
  • Commit to working with participants for up to one year to ensure sustained support and development.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in career coaching, mentoring, or a related field.
  • High school diploma or GED. Degree in social work, counseling, human resources, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to build trust and rapport, excellent organizational skills, and a genuine desire to help others succeed.
