Position Overview: AV Equipment Coordinator at Seton Hall University
The AV Equipment Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the management and provision of audio-visual resources for academic sessions, meetings, and various events hosted within the university premises. This role involves close collaboration with faculty and staff to deliver training on room technology and available audio-visual tools.
Key Responsibilities:Maintenance and Repairs: Execute routine maintenance and repairs on audio-visual systems in classrooms and meeting spaces.Inventory Coordination: Manage the inventory of AV technology, supervise student assistants, and facilitate the setup and delivery of equipment across the campus.Training and Support: Offer ongoing training to Student Technology Assistants and Faculty regarding the use of technology. Operate AV systems during events.Administrative Duties: Handle clerical responsibilities such as responding to inquiries, managing reservations, and assisting clients with service requests.Essential Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
2-3 years of experience in the audio-visual sector within an educational environment
Proficiency in projection, sound, video, and recording technologies
Familiarity with Crestron Control, Extron Control systems, and MS TEAMS
Comprehensive understanding of audio-visual technologies coupled with strong mechanical skills
Preferred Qualifications:
CTS Certification or relevant vocational/technical training
Salary Grade:
Staff Union (Local)
Exempt/Nonexempt Status:
Nonexempt
Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to climb ladders, crawl, lift heavy equipment, work with tools, walk extensively, and endure exposure to various weather conditions.
