Job Title: Device Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Device Registered Nurse to join our team at St. Luke's Heart Rhythm Center in Meridian, Idaho.

About the Role:

The Device Registered Nurse will provide expert care and management of cardiac devices, including pacemakers, implantable loop recorders, and implantable cardiac defibrillators. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform thorough interrogations and reprogramming of cardiac devices
  • Enroll patients in Device Management Systems and conduct device interrogations in outpatient settings and remotely
  • Triage patients for remote alert notifications and perform telephone triage for cardiac patients and device question phone calls
  • Assist cardiologists in managing device recalls and alerts, and liaison with cardiac device company representatives
  • Accurately identify malfunctions, alerts, and sub-optimal device operations and follow appropriate protocols
  • Collaborate with Cardiologists, Electrophysiologists, Advanced practitioners, and other members of the patient care team to achieve optimal clinical outcomes
  • Provide education to patients and their significant others regarding device function, follow-up care, medications, and other clinical care needs
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure from the State of Practice
  • 1 year of experience in telemetry, general cardiology, or critical care
  • ECG, arrhythmia/dysrhythmia knowledge
  • Effective communicator and excellent critical thinking skills
