Job Summary:The Device Registered Nurse will perform thorough interrogations and reprogramming of cardiac devices, enroll patients in device management systems, and provide education to patients and their families on device function and care. You will also collaborate with cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Perform device interrogations and reprogramming
- Enroll patients in device management systems
- Provide education to patients and families on device function and care
- Collaborate with cardiologists and electrophysiologists to achieve optimal clinical outcomes
- Triages patients for remote alert notifications
- Performs telephone triage for cardiac patients and device question phone calls
- Assists cardiologists in managing device recalls and alerts
- Liaisons with cardiac device company representatives regarding device upgrades, recalls, and alerts
- Current RN licensure from the State of Practice
- 1 year of experience in telemetry, general cardiology, or critical care
- ECG and arrhythmia/dysrhythmia knowledge
- Effective communicator and excellent critical thinking skills
