Job Title: Device Registered Nurse - Boise Heart Clinic

St. Luke's Health System is seeking a skilled Device Registered Nurse to join our team at the Boise Heart Clinic. As a key member of our cardiovascular care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest level of clinical excellence.

Job Summary:

The Device Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients with cardiac devices, including pacemakers, implantable loop recorders, and implantable cardiac defibrillators. This will involve performing device interrogations, reprogramming, and troubleshooting, as well as educating patients and their families on device management and care.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform device interrogations and reprogramming to ensure optimal device function
  • Provide education to patients and their families on device management and care
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal clinical outcomes
  • Triages patients for remote alert notifications and performs telephone triage for cardiac patients
  • Assist with device recalls and alerts, and liaise with device company representatives as needed
  • Accurately identifies malfunctions, alerts, and sub-optimal device operations and follows appropriate protocols
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure from the State of Practice
  • 1+ years of experience in telemetry, general cardiology, or critical care
  • ECG, arrhythmia/dysrhythmia knowledge
  • Effective communicator and excellent critical thinking skills
