Position Summary
The Credit Risk Modeling Analyst II plays a crucial role in the formulation and oversight of credit risk models utilized for loan origination, account management, collections, loan loss forecasting, capital planning, and stress testing. This position entails independent management of credit risk model development and execution, alongside collaboration with various stakeholders across the organization.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    - Design, document, and provide advanced support for Probability of Default Models.
    - Investigate and implement enhancements to the existing suite of models to boost accuracy.
    - Collaborate closely with business units and management to deliver value-added solutions that enhance risk-return dynamics.
    - Independently conduct analyses related to loan origination, performance, and forecasting, including data manipulation, trend analysis, and reporting findings.
    - Undertake ad hoc projects pertaining to the comprehensive function of credit risk, summarizing results through verbal, written, and formal presentation methods.
    - Engage in quarterly model reviews and performance evaluations.
    - Summarize analyses and communicate insights to various management levels.
    - Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Engineering, Economics, Statistics, or Finance, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in predictive modeling, including forecasting techniques such as Logistic Regression, Generalized Linear Models, Decision Trees, Neural Networks, Markov Analysis, and Monte Carlo simulations.
- Proficiency in Computational Finance, with a solid understanding of loan origination and operational strategies and their impact on cash flows, ROAs, and IRRs.
- Experience with credit data, including origination credit policies, servicing and collections analytics, and loss forecasting/loan loss reserves.
- Strong knowledge of advanced statistical concepts and financial analytics in risk modeling.
- Familiarity with GAAP principles related to loss forecasting and stress testing, including Allowance for Loan Losses (ALL), CECL, SOX, Frank-Dodd, CCAR, and Basel regulations.
- Advanced programming skills in SQL, SAS, and VBA, along with proficiency in Excel.
- Excellent business judgment and risk assessment capabilities demonstrated through prior work or academic experience in an analytical role.
- Understanding of data sources/warehouses, data mining, and data analysis techniques.
- Strong quantitative skills with the ability to analyze detailed statistics and summarize findings effectively.
- Detail-oriented with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Adaptability to rapid changes in the work environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

Compensation Information
Salary Range: $61,800 - $85,350
Individual compensation packages are determined based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related criteria.
