The Senior Analyst in Credit Portfolio Management is a pivotal role responsible for generating and scrutinizing various critical management reports that concentrate on Third Party Credit Risk, Third Party Performance Risk, and Partner Credit Risk. This position also leads essential activities such as credit evaluations, credit authorizations, and portfolio oversight to detect credit migration in collaboration with the Risk Management team.

As a vital member of the Third Party Credit Risk Group (TPCRG), the analyst will contribute to a Global Commercial Risk function.

This function is accountable for the Global Third Party Credit Policy and for establishing Management Information Systems (MIS) & Reporting for contingent exposures through diverse types of third-party relationships, including suppliers, partners, alliances, and joint ventures for Citibank globally.

The role provides an excellent opportunity to enhance not only technical and reporting skills but also a comprehensive understanding of risk management and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and processes.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze data and generate reports for all divisions of the Third Party Credit Risk Group.
  • Consolidate necessary information and present it in a clear and informative manner.
  • Conduct assessments of Credit and Performance Risk for both prospective and existing third-party relationships, including the analysis of companies, industries, financial viability, and contract protections.
  • Utilize proprietary systems and tools, including Debt Rating Model (DRM), CAT, RAPID, Credit Engine, and Optima.
  • Structure third-party agreements and negotiate transactions effectively.
  • Perform annual and/or quarterly reviews of Third Parties engaged in critical activities.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative techniques and enhancements of processes and workflows by applying in-depth knowledge and integrating subject matter expertise within Risk Management.
  • Research management inquiries using risk systems and data, supporting ad-hoc risk policy analyses and projects as necessary.
  • Participate in the development, testing, and optimization of credit policies, ensuring consistency and compliance with regulations, and assist in the implementation of these policies and related initiatives.
  • Manage risk levels across the entire credit spectrum involving multiple products and retail formats, preparing risk management presentations for senior management.

It is essential to appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating a particular focus on the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citibank, its clients, and assets. This includes ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior and business practices, and transparently escalating, managing, and reporting control issues.


Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience, preferably in the Financial Services Industry, focusing on Reporting or Risk Management.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial risk data analytics.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Tableau.
  • Experience with internal risk/finance reporting systems (Optima, CitiRisk), system flows, and data attributes.
  • Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of credit risk measures and basic accounting principles.
  • Ability to analyze data and present findings effectively.
  • Capability to apply credit and risk principles towards achieving business objectives.
  • Experience in interacting with senior management, regulators, and internal/external audits.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize, prioritize, and drive results with urgency.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.
  • Proven ability to remain organized in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
