Job Title: Property & Casualty Claims SpecialistJob Summary

Waldorf Risk Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Property & Casualty Claims Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our claims team, you will be responsible for managing moderate to severe commercial property and casualty losses, investigating claims, evaluating coverage, and making claim settlement payments based on estimated damage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise the operation of multiple external teams of examiners and technical staff for property and liability claims of clients.
  • Monitor claim activities, provide technical direction to examiner reports on claims adjudication, and maintain a diary on claims in the teams.
  • Identify and advise management of trends, problems, and issues, and recommend courses of action.
  • Compile, review, and analyze management reports, and take appropriate action.
  • Perform quality review on claims in compliance with audit requirements, service contract requirements, and quality standards.
  • Act as a second-level appeal for client and claimant issues regarding claim-specific, procedural, or special requests.
  • Review reserve amounts on all claims and manage and monitor self-insured retention accounts.
  • Maintain contact with clients on claims and promote a professional client relationship.
Requirements
  • Adjusters' licenses required.
  • Professional certifications as applicable to the line of business preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Six (6) years of claims experience or equivalent combination of education.
  • Thorough knowledge of claims management processes and procedures for multiple product lines with a concentration in complex commercial property and casualty coverages.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills.
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
  • Analytical and interpretive skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies.
