Position Summary:

The Front Desk Agent plays a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences at Mountain Shadows Resort, a tranquil oasis in the heart of Scottsdale, Arizona. As a key facilitator of the hotel guest's arrival and departure experiences, this position requires a friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor at all times.

Responsibilities:
  • Welcome and register Residence owners and Hotel guests, ensuring a seamless and personalized experience.
  • Quote and be familiar with room and rate availability for current and future dates, utilizing the hotel's computer system to efficiently manage reservations.
  • Actively participate in the hotel's up-sell program during guest arrival/departure, providing exceptional service and promoting hotel amenities.
  • Recite all information regarding the Mountain Shadows facilities, hours of operation, key personnel, special events, and activities, ensuring guests have a comprehensive understanding of the resort's offerings.
  • Assist Residence owners and hotel guests with Concierge-type requests, leveraging knowledge of the local area and Arizona attractions to provide personalized recommendations.
  • Handle owner and guest problems or complaints in conjunction with Management, maintaining open communication and resolving issues promptly.
  • Utilize the computer system to run daily reports, post charges and credits, and communicate with support departments as needed.
  • Check guests and owners in and out of the Residences and Hotel, adhering to specific procedures and maintaining a balanced bank assigned to you.
  • Make change, cash checks, and exchange foreign currency, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Speak clearly and communicate via radio to other staff members, maintaining a professional and courteous tone at all times.
  • Understand and perform other tasks and projects as delegated by the Director of Guest Operations, Front Office Director, and Front Office Manager.
Qualifications:
  • 1 year of hotel/resort front desk experience required.
  • Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.
  • Ability to maintain a pleasant disposition and function efficiently in high-stress/pressure work environments.
  • Solid interpersonal skills and a positive attitude are essential.
  • Computer experience, preferably with Opera, is necessary.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk continuously to perform essential job functions.
  • Clear, articulate telephone voice and excellent/professional communication skills are required.
  • Ability to listen effectively, speak, and write English clearly.
  • Detailed and sales-oriented, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Familiarity with the surrounding area is a plus.
  • Must adhere to practices of occupational safety and health, including wearing personal protective equipment when required.
Compensation:

The compensation for this position is $18.00/Hr. - $18.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
