Communications Officer

Job Summary:
The Communications Officer will serve as a key member of the Urban League of Portland team, responsible for developing and implementing strategic communications plans to promote the organization's mission and goals. This role will work closely with senior leadership to craft and disseminate key messages, build relationships with media and stakeholders, and develop effective communication strategies to engage diverse audiences.

- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective communications strategies.
- Excellent writing, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field.
- Experience working in a non-profit or government setting.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and their applications in communications.
