Job Title: Regional Safety Director

Interstates is seeking a highly skilled Regional Safety Director to oversee safety standards and policies for our regional office. This role will work closely with local leaders and the Safety Manager to execute safety protocols and ensure a safe work environment for our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote Behavioral Based Safety policies and procedures for specific areas.
  • Monitor and promote weekly on-site safety inspections, including logging, reporting, and documentation.
  • Investigate and manage accidents, injuries, and near misses, and identify root causes.
  • Facilitate meetings with and develop Safety Techs in specific areas.
  • Lead and train Safety Techs or site management in accident management.
  • Work with clients to understand their safety requirements and develop safety management plans.

Requirements:

  • A four-year degree in safety engineering or a related field, or four-plus years of experience leading a successful behavior-based safety culture and safety leadership in the construction industry.
  • OSHA certifications required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to track information and conduct audits.
  • Ability to write reports and procedure manuals.
  • Effective presentation and public speaking skills.
