Job Title: Regional Bakery Delivery Driver, Class A CDL

We're seeking a skilled and reliable Regional Bakery Delivery Driver, Class A CDL to join our team at Hy-Vee. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for operating company vehicles and equipment in a safe and professional manner to ensure prompt delivery of products to customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate company vehicles and equipment in a safe and professional manner
  • Deliver products to customers in a timely and efficient manner
  • Participate in pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations
  • Complete electronic logging device requirements and adhere to hours of service regulations
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve any issues that may arise during delivery
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and communicate with customers and store personnel as needed
Requirements:
  • Class A CDL license
  • 1-2 years of truck driving experience
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
Working Conditions:

This position requires driving during overnight hours and working in a variety of weather conditions. You will be exposed to dust, noise, temperature extremes, and equipment movement hazards. You must be physically able to enter and exit a delivery vehicle many times a day and traverse staircases and other rough terrain to reach delivery destinations.
