New Story School is actively seeking a dedicated Teacher to oversee all aspects of classroom management and instructional delivery. This role is crucial in ensuring that students receive the highest standard of educational support and guidance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
  • Accurately document and analyze student progress and performance.
  • Create and modify lesson plans to enhance the existing curriculum.
  • Utilize specific teaching methodologies as required by the curriculum.
  • Provide constructive feedback on student assignments and assessments.
  • Maintain vigilant supervision of students at all times.
  • Execute behavior management plans and apply approved behavioral strategies.
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings and ongoing professional development.
  • Conduct assessments to evaluate student learning and progress.
  • Engage with parents to discuss student performance and achievements.
  • Supervise and mentor classroom assistants and aides.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for classroom support staff.
  • Train classroom assistants and aides in educational and behavioral strategies.
  • Complete administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Ensure a tidy and organized classroom environment.
  • Adhere to professional dress standards and workplace policies.
  • Fulfill any additional responsibilities as needed.
Physical and Sensory Requirements:
  • Ability to perform non-violent crisis intervention techniques, including verbal and physical redirection.
  • Quick reflexes and mobility to manage potentially harmful situations involving students.
  • Capability to assist in evacuating students during emergencies.
  • Maintain certifications in crisis management programs.
