Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives tailored to each student and participate in relevant meetings.
  • Accurately document and analyze student performance data.
  • Design and modify lesson plans to enhance the existing curriculum.
  • Employ specific teaching methodologies as required.
  • Evaluate and provide constructive feedback on student assignments.
  • Supervise students consistently to ensure a safe learning environment.
  • Implement behavior management plans and utilize approved strategies for behavioral support.
  • Engage in weekly staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development.
  • Conduct assessments of students as necessary.
  • Maintain communication with parents regarding student progress.
  • Directly oversee and mentor classroom assistants and aides.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for classroom support staff.
  • Train classroom aides in educational and behavioral strategies.
  • Perform assigned administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Ensure a tidy and organized classroom environment.
  • Adhere to professional dress standards and workplace conduct as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Fulfill any additional reasonable duties as assigned.
Physical and Sensory Requirements:
  • Ability to perform non-violent crisis intervention techniques, including verbal and physical redirection of students during crisis situations.
  • Quick reflexes and mobility to ensure student safety.
  • Capability to assist in the evacuation of students during emergencies.
  • Maintain certifications in crisis management programs.
