Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team at Comprehensive Data Services Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT service delivery, with a focus on providing exceptional technical assistance to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for clients' computer and VoIP users
  • Answer questions and resolve computer problems via phone, remote tools, or in-person
  • Prep, deliver, and install end-user hardware according to company and client standards
  • Assist with hardware and software installation and use, including Windows operating system, printing, and endpoint security software
  • Provide basic network administration and configuration services
  • Proactively support remote monitoring, management, backup, and patching services
  • Interface with clients' outside hardware/software vendors as needed
  • Maintain organized records of communications, problems, projects, and remedial actions taken
  • Participate in self-directed and company-provided continuing education
  • Participate in internal and client meetings as required
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and share with management
  • Perform general office duties as required

Requirements:

  • At least two years of directly related experience, preferably in a consulting role
  • Technical competence confirmed by education, relevant industry certifications, experience, and/or references
  • Self-motivated and self-directed, with a personal mission to resolve technical issues
  • Accomplished, efficient, and effective troubleshooter across a wide range of problems
  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical clients in a friendly and professional way
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and move it a short distance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft desktop and server platforms, Office/Microsoft 365 applications, and administration of same
  • Experience with Remote Desktop, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, PC hardware, structured cabling, and routers/firewalls
  • Experience with Hyper-V, VMWare, Azure, MAC OS, Backup and Disaster Recovery technologies, SAN, SD-WAN, VoIP, WordPress, sales, digital marketing, RMM, and/or PSA tools
