Position Overview

This role is pivotal in enhancing the effectiveness of Family Advocate personnel under the guidance of the Family Partnership Facilitator. The Senior Family Support Coordinator serves as a crucial link between the Family Partnership Facilitator and the Family Advocate team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Family Partnership Facilitator to deliver training and technical support to Family Advocate staff.
  • Assist in the oversight of PFCE, Family Partnership Agreements, Family Assessments, ERSEA, and Health Service Areas.
  • Conduct site visits and evaluate program operations to ensure quality and accuracy in documentation and data entry.
  • Establish Family Partnership Agreements with designated families, aiding them in setting and achieving their goals.
  • Develop tailored service plans for families as required.
  • Coordinate services to provide assistance, information, referrals, and follow-up for families.
  • Facilitate parent engagement initiatives and organize training/workshops for families.
  • Manage children's application intake and ensure accurate processing of applications.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and generate necessary data and reports.
  • Conduct periodic home visits as necessary.

Qualifications:

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field in the social sciences.

Experience:

A minimum of two years of experience in family services within a Head Start Program or equivalent experience in social services or the social sciences is preferred.

Additional Skills:

Experience in case management and familiarity with community resources is desirable. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to plan and work independently. Proficiency in basic math and problem-solving skills is required. The candidate must be organized and capable of effective time management to minimize redundancy in efforts. A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is necessary; a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred. The role may involve physical activities, including lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds.
