Rome Memorial Hospital is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Ward Clerk. This position will provide general administrative, clerical, and support services for the hospital's medical unit.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to maintain confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to medical staff, including preparing and maintaining patient records, and coordinating with other departments as needed.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of clerical tasks, including data entry and filing.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Stay up-to-date with hospital policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- One year of experience in a hospital setting, with knowledge of medical terminology an asset.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
