Job Description

Role Overview

The Racial Equity Advisory Board is a key component of the Mayor's Office of Talent and Appointments, tasked with providing ongoing input on racial equity in the District of Columbia. As a member of this board, you will serve as a liaison between the Office and the public, ensuring that the voices and perspectives of the community are heard and valued.

Responsibilities

Members of the board will be responsible for:

  • Providing input and guidance on racial equity initiatives and policies
  • Serving as a liaison between the Office and the public, facilitating communication and collaboration
  • Participating in quarterly meetings and contributing to the development of minutes
  • Representing the interests of the community and advocating for racial equity

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must:

  • Be a resident of the District of Columbia
  • Have a strong understanding of racial equity and social justice
  • Be able to commit to quarterly meetings and other responsibilities
