About the Job

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Sales Application Engineer to join our team at Discflo Corp. This role offers numerous opportunities for growth and advancement, making it an ideal choice for individuals looking to develop their careers.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Additionally, they will possess a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and be able to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

* Build and maintain strong relationships with engineers and end-users to drive sales success.
* Act as a liaison between customers and Discflo's sales engineers, customer service, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless collaboration.
* Identify and document customer requirements to facilitate a smooth sales process.
* Respond promptly and accurately to sales inquiries and prepare detailed quotations and bid documents.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest product knowledge and application standards to provide exceptional customer support.
* Address technical aspects of RFIs/RFPs to ensure accurate product selection and quotation.
* Maintain accurate records in approved databases to track customer interactions and sales progress.
* Resolve customer complaints in accordance with company values and policies.
* Regularly update management on ongoing and future projects to inform strategic decision-making.
* Collaborate with colleagues to share technical expertise and ensure consistent sales performance.

Requirements and Qualifications

* A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience (five to ten years) is required.
* Strong mechanical aptitude, common sense, and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role.
* Prior experience in sales, particularly in mechanical equipment or process systems, is highly desirable.

  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
