Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Processing Operations Manager to join our team at Daybreak Foods. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our processing line employees, ensuring the efficient functioning of our grading and breaking operations, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Processing Line Employees: Provide day-to-day supervision of processing line employees during scheduled shifts, ensuring they are working safely and efficiently.
  • Train and Develop Employees: Train, schedule, and assess the performance of processing line employees, including conducting appraisals and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Ensure Quality and Safety: Responsible for successful pre- and post-operational inspections, ensuring that all equipment is calibrated and functioning properly, and that all safety regulations are enforced.
  • Interpret Company Policies: Interpret company policies to plant personnel and ensure that all employees understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Monitor Inventory and Supplies: Monitor liquid inventory and ensure that proper rotation is maintained, and that all supplies are ordered and stocked as needed.
  • Collaborate with Quality Department: Work closely with the Quality department to ensure that all products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Assist with Special Projects: Assist with any other special projects as requested by management, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Minimum of an Associate Degree in Business, Production Management, or a related field, and three to five years' experience in food processing and sanitation or a related field.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Good communication skills, ability to manage English and Spanish speaking employees, fluency in Spanish preferred, experience providing documented training to employees, and strong organizational skills.
  • Physical Demands: Stand and walk constantly, grip, grasp, push, pull, reach, bend, stoop, lift up to 10 pounds frequently, sit, climb, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
