Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Recovery Support Specialist to join our team at Phoenix House. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing operational support to facilitate the delivery of optimal clinical services to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure patients adhere to the day-to-day program schedule, tracking attendance as required.
  • Monitor participation in program events and activities.
  • Conduct and document room/bed checks to ensure resident safety and presence.
  • Conduct routine facility checks to ensure facility safety and security.
  • Review client property/items upon admission or receipt to ensure compliance with facility and program rules.
  • Conduct contraband searches and drug screen analysis administration in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Assume lead duties for shift(s) as assigned, ensuring the program schedule is followed and all duties are assigned and completed by the team during the shift.
  • Mentor patients towards success in program, including behavior modification, program rules, schoolwork, job responsibilities, and social interactions.
  • Provide safe, timely, and supervised transportation of patients to off-site appointments or activities as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in staff log, incident reports, facility forms, and/or other reports in a timely manner.
  • Assist with filing and data-entry.
  • Participate and facilitate the occurrence of shift change, ensuring all occurrences/incidents are documented appropriately, facility and cabinets are secure, supplies are stocked for the next shift, and all keys and other property are accounted.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor Trainee (CASAC-T) in good standing.
  • Minimum two years' experience working in a substance use disorder treatment setting, including working with patients with co-occurring disorders.
Work Environment

This job operates in an indoor office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
