Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the design, execution, and enhancement of manufacturing systems and equipment for both new and existing products within the organization. This includes a commitment to ongoing process improvement to enhance safety, quality, supply chain efficiency, and overall productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of processes and equipment, including the design and installation phases, while managing capital budgeting strategies. Lead projects from initiation through to successful completion.
  • Analyze and redesign operational processes to boost production efficiency, enhance quality, streamline packaging, minimize costs, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Monitor operations and perform data analysis, including process capability studies using statistical methods, capacity planning, and make-or-buy evaluations. Aim to optimize every stage of the production workflow.
  • Facilitate technology transfer from research and development, which includes the introduction of new materials and products, conducting pilot studies, and scaling up production. Execute risk assessments and adhere to established processes.
  • Generate comprehensive process documentation, operational guidelines, manufacturing recipes, and work instructions. Provide training to employees as required.
  • Address challenges in daily plant operations by employing problem-solving techniques to identify root causes and develop corrective and preventive measures.
  • Serve as a leader or essential member of project and process teams, taking responsibility for project budgets and timelines.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering, accompanied by a minimum of three years of experience in manufacturing, quality assurance, and process optimization.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach.
  • A hands-on approach with a passion for innovation.
  • Effective leadership and interpersonal skills to guide project teams towards success.
  • A focus on customer satisfaction and quality, with strong communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (P-FMEAs), Control Plans, and Process Flow Diagrams. A solid understanding of automated control systems and P&IDs is essential. Experience with statistical process control is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (including MS Visio and MS Project) and Minitab, with strong computer literacy.
  • Experience with Automotive OEM clients, delivering presentations, and knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 standards is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally as needed.
