Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Service Representative to join our team at Uptown Community Health Center, Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and register patients in a prompt and pleasant manner, ensuring a positive first impression of our healthcare organization.
  • Verify and record necessary demographic information, insurance details, and payment methods with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Perform health insurance verification and collect fees and copayments in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments, answering patient inquiries, and gathering information as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in our electronic health record system.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Two (2) years of experience in integrated healthcare or primary care preferred.
  • Experience with Epic application and electronic health records a plus.
  • Ability to work with sensitivity and compassion towards special populations, including those with limited income, limited education, and non-English speaking individuals.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills a strong asset.
