The Engineering, Science and Analysis (ESA) Strategic Capabilities Unit is composed of skilled professionals and leadership that drive the successful implementation of advanced technologies for our clients' missions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize cutting-edge design methodologies to develop defense-oriented electronic systems.
  • Oversee system and detailed circuit design, modeling, and simulation for tactical RF and antenna solutions.
  • Design both digital and analog hardware using FPGAs, microcontrollers, ADCs/DACs, power management systems, and control circuits.
  • Conduct thorough analyses including power dissipation, stability, reliability, and risk assessment.
  • Collaborate with Systems Engineers and adhere to Mil-Std documentation to establish functional and performance requirements.
  • Engage with Parts Engineers to select and validate EEE components that fulfill program specifications.
  • Work closely with PWB packaging and layout engineers to ensure optimal design integration.
  • Develop and implement testing protocols and provide support during environmental and qualification assessments.
  • Maintain a consistent and predictable work schedule.
  • Foster and maintain effective working relationships within the department, Strategic Business Units, and the Company, ensuring a positive and productive work atmosphere.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

On-Site Work Environment: This role necessitates regular in-person engagement, requiring the employee to work on-site five days a week at the primary work location. Occasional travel and local commuting between company facilities may be necessary.

Working Conditions:

  • Work may take place in an office, laboratory, production area, cleanroom, or outdoor research environment.
  • Occasional work in production settings may require the use of protective equipment.
  • Access to various facilities may be necessary under different weather conditions.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical discipline is required, along with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Higher-level degrees, such as a Master's or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Relevant technical experience may be considered in lieu of formal education. The degree must be from an accredited institution recognized by the US Secretary of Education.
  • Proficiency in digital, analog, and FPGA electronic circuit design, as well as associated software.
  • Hands-on testing experience in a laboratory setting using equipment such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, pulse generators, current probes, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills are essential.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Experience with power systems and mixed-signal design.
  • Familiarity with FPGA and software development.
  • Knowledge of Matlab, PSPICE/LTSPICE, and Mathcad.
  • Understanding of EMI/EMC principles, including system-level grounding and shielding.
  • Experience with OrCAD CIS for schematic design.
  • Proficiency in Hyperlynx for signal and power integrity analysis.
  • Experience designing for tactical environments, including temperature, shock, and vibration considerations.

Compensation Information:

Full-Time Salary Range: $173,500

Please note: This range is based on market pay structures. Individual salaries are determined by various factors, including business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
