Make a Positive Impact

First State Community Bank's Retail Business Services Department is seeking a Business Development Specialist who will be responsible for promoting and selling our business services to new and existing customers while coaching our internal teams on how to build successful partnerships with our customers.

Our needs-based approach is focused on truly understanding our customers, and how we can provide value to them by recommending and referring business services including financial management and other strategies that improve efficiencies, practices and cash flow for the customer.

Responsibilities in Accordance with Our Corporate Values

Professionalism
  • Work in coordination with FSCB staff as well as directly with customers
  • Maintain a constant feedback loop with customers and FSCB staff to improve the Business Services experience
Accountability
  • Record events, issues and resolutions in Customer Relationship Management system
  • Generate and maintain a sales pipeline independently and in coordination with your market
Adaptability
  • Collaborate in a team atmosphere as it relates to developing, implementing and marketing new business products and services
Service
  • Coordinate or assist customer onboarding of new business services and relationships
  • Coach internal teams and producers on building successful partnerships
Courage
  • Act as a trusted representative of the bank to our customers; understanding their needs and recommending the services that meet those needs
Initiative
  • Responsible for developing and expanding relationships with business services, referrals to FSIA, FSFM, Government Lending and other partners
  • Develop reporting, business analyses and presentations with a goal of identifying and targeting customers for Business Growth

  • Availability for 5 - 10% overnight travel, extended or flexible hours
