Position Title: Cybersecurity Incident Handler

Overview:

Koniag Data Solutions, a subsidiary of Koniag Government Services, is seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Incident Handler with a Secret clearance to support our government clientele.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Minimum of 3 years of continuous experience in managing cybersecurity incidents.
  • Proficient in identifying and classifying various types of vulnerabilities and related attacks in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Understanding of the different stages of cyber attacks, including reconnaissance, scanning, gaining access, privilege escalation, maintaining access, network exploitation, and covering tracks.
  • Familiarity with computer network defense policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Awareness of diverse operational threat landscapes.
  • Experience in analyzing network alerts from multiple sources to ascertain potential causes.
  • Knowledge of system and application security threats and vulnerabilities, such as buffer overflows, mobile code, and cross-site scripting.
  • Capability to conduct digital forensics to identify potential threats to information systems and network devices.
  • Must hold and maintain relevant certifications, such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or equivalent from ANSI accredited programs.
  • Secret clearance is mandatory.
Work Environment:

This role is situated in a professional office setting with a generally low to moderate noise level. The position requires routine use of standard office equipment, including computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

The job is primarily conducted indoors, consistent with standard office roles, and involves standing, walking, sitting, and using hands for various tasks. The workload may necessitate prolonged periods of sitting. The incumbent must be capable of reading, performing basic math calculations, and managing moderate stress levels.

Occasional lifting or moving of items up to 25 lbs may be required. Specific vision abilities necessary for this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
