Position Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned TS/SCI cleared Cybersecurity Compliance Specialist to join our dynamic team.

The Cybersecurity Compliance Specialist will serve as the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for IT systems operating within a secure environment and will also act as a Special Security Representative (SSR) to facilitate operations and management.

This role involves supporting various security standards and protocols, utilizing established guidelines and directives set forth by relevant authorities.


Key Responsibilities:

Implementation of Security Protocols:
Develop, implement, and enforce security measures to safeguard sensitive information and assets.

Coordinate the creation and execution of local Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Emergency Plans (EP), along with necessary documentation for accreditation.

Conduct inspections, corrective action planning, and on-site support, focusing on physical security, access control, and data protection measures. Assist in pre-screening candidates to mitigate risks and maintain personnel security files and rosters.

Advocate for the security program, effectively communicating with senior management to achieve objectives.

Highlight security risks and concerns to management,

Management of Secure Facilities:
Oversee visitor control functions, including security clearance verification. Conduct self-inspections in preparation for audits and maintain visitor control functions. Validate incoming clearances and prepare necessary documentation for access requests. Ensure the integrity of secure facilities through monitoring and responding to system alerts,

Information Technology Security Maintenance:

Ensure the accreditation and ongoing compliance of classified and unclassified systems, adhering to established policies and regulations.

Follow relevant frameworks to guarantee secure operations and continuous monitoring of system integrity.


Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
Perform regular assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and develop strategies to address them.

Investigate security incidents and ensure the integrity of sensitive data and resources.

Conduct regular testing and reviews to maintain security standards.

Security Awareness and Training:
Create and deliver training programs to enhance security awareness among employees. Administer required refresher training sessions,

Incident Response and Management:
Develop and maintain plans to effectively respond to security incidents. Lead investigations into breaches and implement corrective measures to prevent future occurrences.

Vendor Security Management:

Collaborate with third-party vendors to ensure compliance with security requirements. Conduct assessments and monitor adherence to contractual obligations.


Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive documentation of security policies and incidents.

Prepare regular reports on security activities for management and regulatory bodies as needed.

Ensure the maintenance of necessary accreditations and oversight of security accounts.

Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain additional certifications,
High School Diploma,
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role,
Willingness to travel for professional development opportunities,
Ability to work on-site.

Preferred Qualifications:
Possession of required certifications for security roles,
Strong understanding of relevant security guidelines and directives,
Experience in customer service within a government or corporate context.
