Overview of the Role:

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston is dedicated to fostering the development of urban youth through its innovative programs. One such initiative is YouthConnect, which collaborates with local law enforcement to support young individuals facing various challenges. The program employs social workers who are committed to enhancing the behavioral and academic performance of these youths in their respective environments.

The Clinical Program Supervisor plays a pivotal role in partnership with the Clinical Director, ensuring that the program delivers exceptional clinical services. This position involves providing guidance and mentorship to clinical staff, while also undertaking significant administrative responsibilities as part of the senior management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in senior management discussions.
  • Assist in leading group supervision sessions as needed.
  • Co-facilitate training workshops for clinical staff to promote professional growth.
  • Support the enhancement of clinical competencies among team members.
  • Conduct weekly individual supervision sessions with team members.
  • Oversee initial home visits and assessments conducted by staff.
  • Collaborate with staff to evaluate new client referrals.
  • Monitor and review treatment plans and case progress for supervisees.
  • Provide immediate support and consultation during client emergencies.
  • Engage in advocacy efforts with supervisors and managers of partner organizations.
  • Represent the program in city-wide initiatives focused on juvenile justice.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of cases through a case management system.
  • Analyze program outcomes and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Offer support to other social workers as necessary.
  • Coordinate with other program supervisors to address clinical and operational matters.
  • Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new personnel.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director and Clinical Director.
  • Guarantee comprehensive clinical care in collaboration with the Clinical Director and Supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) is required.
  • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) certification is necessary.
  • A minimum of 4 years of supervisory experience in a clinical setting.
  • At least 7 years of experience working with urban youth and their families.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
  • Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills are essential.
  • A sense of humor and adaptability are important traits.
  • Experience working with diverse cultures and socio-economic backgrounds is required.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community-based work are necessary.

Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM
Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience and internal equity.
