Job Summary

Redwood Trust Inc is seeking a highly skilled HR Manager/Senior HR Manager to join our team. This role will serve as a valuable business partner across the organization, focusing on talent acquisition, talent management, and employee relations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract diverse and high-quality candidates.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify hiring needs and create job descriptions that accurately reflect roles and responsibilities within the organization.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
  • Support and implement a variety of talent management programs, including performance reviews, talent assessment, and succession planning.
  • Play a proactive role in creating positive employee relations and cultivating Redwood Trust's culture and values.
  • Ensure policies, practices, and procedures are administered in a fair and consistent manner and in accordance with all applicable local, state, and/or federal laws.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 7+ years of experience as an HR Generalist/Manager; experience in financial services preferred.
  • Proven track record within multiple HR disciplines: talent acquisition, talent management, and employee relations are most critical.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Collaborative team player with a positive, energetic approach to peers and client groups.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal employment law, with particular focus on California laws governing employers.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and experience working with HRIS.

A competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $130,000- $160,000 annually, and a comprehensive benefits package, including discretionary corporate bonus program, multiple health plans, STD and LTD options, company-sponsored life insurance, fitness reimbursement, paid parental leave, time to volunteer, Paid Time off, ESPP, and 401K matching, is offered to the successful candidate.
