DCI Donor Services

At DCI Donor Services, we are committed to saving lives through organ donation. As a Referral Response Coordinator, you will play a critical role in facilitating the donation process. Your expertise as an EMT, Paramedic, or experience in an Emergency Room or ICU setting will be invaluable in this position.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Coordinate and communicate referral information and logistics to facilitate the donation process.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of the medical screening process via data entry and follow established referral intake procedures.
  • Evaluate medical suitability of potential organ and tissue donors by utilizing information from medical records, personal histories, physical examination, and current health status.
  • Request and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests needed for evaluation of suitability and clinical management of potential donors.
  • Collaborate with hospital personnel and clinical teams to develop an action plan that supports the option of donation and activation of the appropriate DCIDS team members.
  • Participate in training, process improvement, departmental QA/QC activities, and special projects as directed.

**Requirements:**

  • 2+ years of emergency or critical care experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Prior experience as a Paramedic or EMT.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand medical terminology and read a medical chart.
  • Exceptional teamwork, communication, and conflict management skills.
  • Valid Driver's license with ability to pass MVR underwriting requirements.
