Responsibilities:
  • Follow the Norfolk Design & Sales Process: Ensure a consistent and exceptional customer experience by adhering to the Norfolk design and sales process.
  • Collaborate with the Team: As a kitchen and bath designer, you will work closely with the showroom team and coordinate with other support teams, such as delivery, construction, and customer service.
  • Design, Estimate & Measure Projects: Create customized and functional designs for kitchens and baths, utilizing precise measurement skills to ensure a proper fit.
  • Achieve Sales and Margin Goals: Strive to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
  • Cultivate Lasting Relationships: Build and nurture enduring relationships with homeowner and builder clients.
  • Attend Training and Events: Stay informed about the latest design trends and industry changes by actively participating in training sessions and events.
Requirements:
  • Extensive Knowledge: Possess extensive knowledge of kitchen cabinet design, product offerings, and related vendors.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in 20/20 design software.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively (both verbal and written).
  • Organization and Project Management: Strong organization and project management ability.
  • Team-Oriented: Team-oriented with a strong aptitude for calculations (measurements, gross profit).
  • Microsoft Applications: Proficient with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and comfortable working within a shared folder setup.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including some weekends (Saturdays).
Education and Experience:
  • Experience: 3+ years in relationship-based sales, preferably in kitchen and bath design.
  • Track Record: Track record of meeting sales goals and contributing to team success.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of interior design and building materials is beneficial.
Physical Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's License: Valid driver's license for travel to customer sites.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to perform physical job tasks as needed.
  • Language Skills: Ability to articulate, write, and read in English.
  • Comfort Level: Comfortable sitting and working with PC-related tasks for extended periods.
  • Work Environment: Comfortable navigating around construction machinery and other potential site hazards if necessary.
