Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Membership Sales Associate (MSA) plays a vital role within the organization. As the first point of contact, the MSA is responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and members. This position requires a friendly demeanor, greeting everyone with enthusiasm and professionalism. The MSA will conduct tours, enroll new members, and provide comprehensive information about our services and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome all guests and members with a friendly smile.
  • Conduct member check-ins following established protocols.
  • Manage phone inquiries in line with company standards.
  • Keep track of visitor inquiries and follow up as necessary.
  • Communicate upcoming events and schedules effectively.
  • Assist members with requests in accordance with company policies.
  • Support members in setting up automated payment options.
  • Maintain a professional appearance in line with uniform guidelines.
  • Adhere to all Point-of-Sale procedures.
  • Ensure proper handling of member service payments.
  • Keep the work area organized and clean, including locker room checks and equipment maintenance.
  • Complete assigned cleaning tasks as directed by management.
  • Participate in projects and initiatives as assigned by club leadership.
  • Conduct tours that emphasize helping members achieve their fitness goals through our various membership options.
  • Meet and strive to exceed personal sales targets.
  • Support additional programs offered by the club, including personal training and wellness services.
  • Follow all policies outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • At least one year of experience in customer service.
  • Food Handler Card as required by location.
  • Tanning Certification and OLCC permit may be required based on location.

  • Experience in retail sales is preferred.
