Key Responsibilities
  • Create and manage project setup in Deltek Costpoint, including billing formulas, revenue recognition, and contract funding.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project information in Deltek Costpoint.
  • Prepare and submit accurate monthly billing to customers in collaboration with project managers.
  • Assist with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll for project/account errors.
  • Review and post timely and accurate project revenue recognition procedures in accordance with GAAP.
  • Prepare and analyze project costs and variance reporting for assigned projects.
  • Reconcile unbilled monthly and communicate discrepancies to management.
  • Interact daily with other departments, including Accounting, Project Management, and Business Unit Leads, regarding project-related issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably with Costpoint.
  • Government contract experience required.
  • Knowledge of DCAA requirements preferred.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suites, particularly Excel, and other database software.
  • Effective communication skills, including tact and diplomacy.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and handle stressful situations.
  • Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and proactive.
