Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Account Executive to join our team at McLaughlin Young Employee Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our clients, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a business development plan to identify new opportunities and grow strong business relationships.
- Generate sales pipeline and manage information in CRM.
- Prepare and present proposals, negotiate contract terms, and implement new client relationships.
- Conduct customer visits to cultivate, develop, or expand relationships with prospective customers.
- Communicate with manager on sales status and any related issues.
- Network within the community to develop business and promote our brand.
- Combine in-depth knowledge of our services with a clear understanding of industry/market trends.
- Accurately forecast expected sales and revenue.
- Leverage current client relationships to expand and increase revenue opportunities across existing customer base.
- Establish, build, and maintain relationships at all decision levels within existing customer base.
- Implement a structured account plan for each client including quarterly touchpoints.
- Ensure that all client issues and service requests are addressed in a timely manner and to the expectation of the client.
- Track and escalate client issues as needed and coordinate as needed to provide timely resolution.
- Play a critical role in the contract renewal process and client retention strategy.
- Assist the accounting department as needed in the client billing process.
- Inform assigned clients of new services, partnerships, and/or products as they are announced or released.
- Advance the use of innovative and improved business methods and program enhancements.
- Keep a clear and detailed log of transport/travel costs, mileage, and hospitality offered for clients.
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of five years relevant business development or outside sales experience within client services, human resources, coaching, or consulting.
- Must have track record of developing and winning new training, coaching, or consulting business.
- Superior client relationship skills and ability to be viewed as a trusted advisor.
- Ability to think strategically and to understand clients' underlying business needs and align our services and solutions.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, plus Teams and Zoom.
