MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN I

Hours:
Full-time position.

Assist in ensuring that production, HVAC, facility equipment, and infrastructure are maintained in optimal condition.
Identify and rectify issues before they lead to equipment or product damage.
Utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to document and communicate maintenance activities.
Effectively operate machinery as required.
Work flexible hours, including overtime, based on production needs.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Adhere to and communicate Health, Safety, and Quality policies, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Perform additional duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES & SKILLS FOR OUR SQF CERTIFIED SITES:

Possess a fundamental understanding of cGMPs and Good Hygiene Personnel Practices.
Notify the SQF Practitioner or Supervisor of any necessary repairs or adjustments.
Conduct basic sanitation tasks.

Execute all duties required to meet Company and Regulatory Requirements/standards as prioritized by the Company, HACCP, and SQF.

Alert the SQF Practitioner/Quality Manager or other Management personnel of any Food Safety or Quality concerns.

Identify issues related to Food Safety and Quality of raw materials, processes, quality systems, or safety systems by performing assigned Production/Quality Checks.

Initiate actions to prevent nonconformities related to Food Safety and Quality of products, processes, quality systems, or safety systems.

Execute and adhere to the HOLD SOP.

Control the further processing or delivery of nonconforming products regarding Food Safety and Quality until the issue is resolved.

Employees must follow all Food Fraud/Food Defense Policies while on company property.
Thorough understanding of all Company policies, including GMPs and safety policies, HACCP & SQF.

Are You?

A High School or Vo-Tech School graduate or equivalent.
Proficient in basic computer skills – able to quickly learn and efficiently use new systems.
Reliable with a good attendance record.
Capable of safely operating and using standard shop equipment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of and/or previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

CERTIFICATION:
Technical certification in maintenance or working towards a mechanic, electrical, or other equipment-related discipline.

Use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, crouch, bend, twist, and only occasionally sit.

Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Heavier amounts can be moved with the assistance of equipment.

Knowledge of and/or previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
