MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN I

Hours:
Full-time position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in ensuring that production, HVAC, facility equipment, and infrastructure are maintained in optimal condition.
Identify and rectify issues before they lead to equipment or product damage.
Utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to log and communicate maintenance activities.
Effectively operate equipment as necessary.
Work flexible hours, including overtime, as required by production needs.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Comply with and promote Health, Safety, and Quality policies, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Perform additional tasks as assigned.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES & SKILLS FOR SQF CERTIFIED SITES:

Possess a foundational understanding of cGMPs and Good Hygiene Practices.
Alert SQF Practitioner or Supervisor regarding necessary repairs or adjustments.
Conduct Basic Sanitation Functions.

Fulfill all duties required to meet Company and Regulatory Requirements/standards as prioritized by the Company, HACCP, and SQF.

Notify SQF Practitioner/Quality Manager or other Management personnel of any Food Safety or Quality concerns.

Identify issues related to Food Safety and Quality of raw materials, processes, quality systems, or safety systems through assigned Production/Quality Checks.

Take initiative to prevent occurrences of nonconformities related to Food Safety and Quality of products, processes, quality systems, or safety systems.

Execute and adhere to the HOLD SOP.

Control further processing or delivery of nonconforming products concerning Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency is resolved.

Employees must follow all Food Fraud/Food Defense Policies while on company premises.
Thorough understanding of all Company policies, including GMPs and safety policies, HACCP & SQF.

Are You?

A High School or Vo-Tech School graduate or equivalent.
Proficient in basic computer skills – able to quickly learn and efficiently utilize new systems.
Reliable with a strong attendance record.
Capable of safely operating and using standard shop equipment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

CERTIFICATION:
Technical certification in maintenance or pursuing a mechanic, electrical, or other equipment-related discipline.

Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, with heavier amounts manageable with equipment assistance.

Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
