Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Estimator Assistant to join our team at Nationwide Technical Resources Corp. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, with a focus on transmission and substation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing and distributing bid documents for transmission and substation projects.
  • Support the Bid Coordinator in maintaining and updating bid logs to ensure efficient tracking and timely submission of projects.
  • Help prepare proposal documents and gain exposure to both transmission and substation estimating processes.
  • Compile bid packages for subcontractors and vendors, ensuring completeness of documentation.
  • Participate in prebid activities, site visits, and field observations to gain a comprehensive understanding of project requirements.
  • Solicit vendor pricing, perform document takeoffs, and input data to ensure accurate project cost assessments.
  • Create deliverables and manage drawings and other documents to ensure they are organized and accessible throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Attend prebid meetings for transmission and substation projects to contribute to early stages of project planning and understanding technical requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electrical Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel) and Primavera P6, with any estimating software required. Familiarity with Viewpoint software is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented mindset, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for working with diverse teams.
  • A self-starter with ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a larger team.
