Job Overview:
This role oversees the management of operations across multiple complex departments that deliver outpatient patient care services. The focus is on ensuring that the team provides high-quality, accessible, and cost-effective care while adhering to local, state, and federal regulations. The position involves implementing and maintaining clinical standards, managing budgets, and fostering staff development to enhance nursing and patient care services that align with business objectives and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily departmental operations, ensuring compliance with the Nurse Practice Act, NCQA, and all regulatory requirements.
- Establish and uphold patient care and quality service standards to meet the expectations of members and internal stakeholders.
- Act as an advocate for patients, addressing and resolving care-related issues.
- Evaluate and recommend process improvements to enhance systems and patient care outcomes.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of departmental budgets and resource allocations.
- Analyze financial performance, proposing strategies to reduce costs while improving care quality.
- Determine optimal staffing levels and develop processes for recruitment, training, and competency maintenance of staff.
- Facilitate ongoing staff development initiatives.
- Implement and oversee departmental policies and procedures that align with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with physicians and department leaders to enhance patient services and manage daily operations.
- Assist in addressing human resource and safety issues within the department.
Experience
- At least two (2) years of management or supervisory experience, including lead or charge roles.
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare, public or business administration, or a related field, or four (4) years of relevant experience.
- High school diploma or GED is required.

- Strong interpersonal skills and knowledge of outpatient care practices and operations.
- Familiarity with applicable regulatory standards.
- Ability to demonstrate proficiency with electronic health records within six months of hire.
- Willingness to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
- Experience in healthcare management.
- Active license in the state of WA as a Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or related healthcare field.
