Key Responsibilities:
  • Possession of a LCDC II Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Licensed II certification is required.
  • Conduct assessments for the Trainee Employee Assistance Program, formulate intervention strategies, and facilitate referrals for identified participants. Design, implement, and lead prevention groups and programs within the Trainee Employee Assistance framework.
  • Provide counseling services, relapse prevention strategies, and educational resources focused on prevention.
  • Collaborate with center personnel and community organizations to deliver support services to participants. Engage in departmental systems for collecting feedback and addressing concerns.
  • Assist in the creation of operational procedures for program components.
  • Work alongside the Center Mental Health Consultant, Center Physician, Health Services staff, and other designated personnel to ensure that intervention components are thoroughly understood and integrated within the center.
  • Partner with the Recreation Department to develop leisure activities and incentives that promote the Trainee Employee Assistance Program lifestyle.
  • Act as a liaison to the Center Mental Health Consultant and Center Standards Officer regarding Trainee Employee Assistance Program matters.
  • Conduct quality assurance audits of records. Maintain statistics for the Trainee Employee Assistance Program for quarterly reporting to relevant authorities.
  • Ensure that all collection and handling procedures adhere to chain of custody protocols.
  • Support the Center's Tobacco Use Prevention Program through educational initiatives and training.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • LCDC II Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Licensed II certification is mandatory.
  • A High School Diploma is required.
  • Experience working with youth is essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, along with proficient comprehension.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • A valid driver's license in the state of employment with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Part-time position requiring 12 hours per week.
