About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Catering Event Captain to join our team at Wooden Paddle. As a Catering Event Captain, you will be responsible for managing the catering team and ensuring the smooth execution of events from beginning to end.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exceptionally care for guests and provide an exceptional dining experience.
  • Fully prepare catering teams for events, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver outstanding results.
  • Smoothly execute events, ensuring that all logistical and operational aspects are well-managed and executed to perfection.
  • Raise the bar with raving reviews from industry partners, showcasing Wooden Paddle's commitment to excellence.

Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must have regular Saturday availability, with a minimum of 2 Saturdays per month.
  • 5+ years of experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in events.
  • 2+ years in a leadership role within the hospitality industry, preferably as Event Captain, Banquet Captain, or Lead Server.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and sole access to a personal vehicle.
  • Basset Certification and Servsafe Food Handler Certificate.
