Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant/Patient Service Representative to join our team at Siskin Children's Institute. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform administrative and clinical duties under the direction of medical practitioners, including taking and recording vital signs, medical histories, and rooming patients.
  • Enter histories into the electronic medical records system and make referrals as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service and work well with families and children with special needs.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient office operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with clinical standards and best practices to provide high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent and completion of a Medical Assistant program.
  • Certification as a CMA from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Two or more years' experience in physician practice, medical billing, or the health insurance industry.
  • Experience in a pediatric center and with children with special needs is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
