Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Strategy Manager of Community Mobilization. This role will play a critical part in supporting various departmental initiatives and projects related to our organization's four priorities: fostering a college-going culture, identifying multiple postsecondary education pathways, improving college affordability, and supporting credential completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support grantmaking within the department and across the organization, including managing the administration of the grantmaking process, maintaining records and data on all grants, and serving as the primary manager of the online grant management system.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support MCAN's Local College Access Network (LCAN) initiative, including developing expertise on the Collective Impact systems change framework, assisting in developing and evaluating LCAN trainings and convenings, and reviewing and updating materials and tools to support LCANs.
  • Manage the Community Ambassador program, including evaluating its long-term viability, and provide support in the planning, development, launch, and expansion or evolution of departmental strategies.
  • Represent the organization, especially its community-based work, to constituents, funders, partners, grantees, and others as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as higher education, public administration, or a related field.
  • Three to five years of experience working in education or community-based organizations, with a focus on data and/or grant management.
  • Strong communication and project management skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and work independently.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
