Job Summary

Community Mental Health Authority of Clinton, Eaton and Ingham Counties is seeking a highly skilled Mobile Mental Health Therapist to join our team. As a Mobile Mental Health Therapist, you will provide immediate crisis intervention services to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and indirect mental health and substance abuse services to individuals in crisis
  • Work collaboratively with the Crisis Services Coordinator and other team members to provide comprehensive care
  • Assess and develop crisis intervention plans using a strength-based model
  • Document all activities and interactions with clients in electronic records
  • Communicate effectively with community partners and stakeholders
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
  • State of Michigan credential (LMSW preferred)
  • Minimum one year of experience working with individuals with mental illness
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and solid computer skills
  • Access to reliable transportation for job-related use
Conditional Employment Requirements
  • Background verification and credentialing procedure
  • Michigan State Police clearance check
  • Central Registry Screening
  • Verification of professional license and Medicaid/Medicare
  • Acceptable driving record and work history
Work Environment

This is an in-person position, working remotely is not an option. The Mobile Mental Health Therapist will work a varied schedule, including evenings and weekends.
