Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at J&J Worldwide Services. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings, requiring practical skill and knowledge in various trades such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform treatment and cleaning of sidewalks during inclement weather.
  • Replace electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors.
  • Use plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings.
  • Repair or replace sinks, water coolers, and toilets.
  • Paint structures and equipment.
  • Repair or replace concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks.
  • Replace damaged paneling and floor tiles.
  • Hang doors and install door locks and replace broken window panes.
  • Perform general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • GED or High School Graduate
  • Experience working in an outdoor or indoor building environment
  • Able to understand verbal or written direction from lead, supervisor, or other craftsmen

Work Environment

  • Must be able to lift lbs., squat, bend, stoop, and kneel for short periods, climb a ladder, stand for long periods of time, constant arm extensions.
  • Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, but none to the point of being disagreeable. May involve minor safety hazards where likely result would be cuts, bruises, etc.
