Primary Responsibilities

  • Guarantees the production of high-quality labels in a safe and efficient manner by conducting inspections, testing, rework, and packing tasks with meticulous attention to detail and adherence to established protocols.

Essential Duties

  • Adheres to safety and operational guidelines for all plant and ancillary equipment, promptly reporting any hazards to the supervisor.
  • Confirms that work orders align with sales order specifications.
  • Communicates any quality concerns with press operators as they arise.
  • Prepares packaging for completed labels.
  • Labels products with identifying tags as necessary.
  • Manually loads labels and packaging materials onto conveyors, boxes, and pallets.
  • Counts and verifies that output meets work order requirements.
  • Inspects and tests labels to ensure compliance with specifications and company standards, reworking any defective or incomplete label rolls and materials.
  • Operates production machinery, including rub testers, label rewinders, and label application testing equipment.
  • Reviews all work order setups and monitors production runs for quality defects.
  • Completes necessary documentation for timekeeping, housekeeping, and routine preventative maintenance.
  • Maintains cleanliness in the work area, machines, and equipment.
  • Performs routine maintenance on production, testing, and ancillary equipment.
  • Reports any maintenance issues with production or testing equipment and submits notifications as required; enters maintenance requests for repairs as needed.
  • Aims to meet or exceed label production targets (KPIs).
  • Participates in periodic production, safety, and departmental meetings.
  • Cross-trains in various roles within the label production department.
  • Acts as a backup in other production department roles as assigned.
  • Undertakes additional projects and/or responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor/manager.
