Bakery Clerk

The Bakery Clerk is responsible for scaling, mixing, and baking various bakery goods. This role requires maintaining proper inventory levels of products and ensuring the cleanliness and appearance of the bakery department meets our high standards.

• Customer Service: Consistently provide friendly, courteous service to internal and external customers.
• Bakery Operations: Scale, mix, and bake various bakery goods, including breads, rolls, and pastries.
• Inventory Management: Maintain proper inventory levels of products and ensure the cleanliness and appearance of the bakery department meets our standards.
• Equipment Operation: Operate and clean equipment and work area, including ovens, mixers, and proof boxes.
• Quality Control: Ensure quality of goods by following code dating procedures and legal regulations or labeling and packaging for all in-store bakery products.

• Physical Demands: Ability to lift objects of various dimensions chest high up to 50 lbs., stand, walk, and move rapidly for extended periods of time.
• Communication Skills: Effective communication with customers and co-workers, including hearing and speech.
• Teamwork: Work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with a strong customer service orientation.
• Education and Certifications: Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a Food Handlers Certification (Per State Laws).

The Bakery Clerk will work varied hours primarily between the hours of 3:00 am to 10:00 pm in a 24/7 operation. The role requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in temperature and humidity levels.

WinCo Foods offers a competitive hourly rate, ranging from $16.53 to $19.78 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
